Abstract

I have been articulating a developing personal contextual philosophy around women in the animation industry and this has been disseminated both here and in the USA. The impact of this has led to invitations to speak at prestigious events such as The Children’s Media Conference, in 2014, a national, yearly industry conference that focuses on Children’s programming in the UK.

The research examined the development of the role of women in the animation industry today and in the past, and looked at what possibilities this might offer to young girls entering the industry.

The discussion focused around education and industry.
