Abstract

Black on White, Exhibition, Gallery, Clwyd Theatr 02/05/2015 - 06-06-2015
Curated by Johnathan Le Vay
This series of drawings based on interiors of Horrocks, Centenary Mill, Preston, from a time when it stood empty before its re-development.

These works explore notions of identity and a sense of place; they are markers of an ever-shifting change in the contemporary landscape. They look at an industrial past and lost promises of a working class generation, the shift in use of its monuments (mills). These slumbering giants, woken only by the touch of re-development, or lost forever.

All works are Charcoal & Conte on Paper, Images sizes 60 X 40cm
