Abstract

This study makes a description and comparison of the efforts made at the international and regional levels to develop the legal frameworks maritime pollution. And suggests various options to achieve an efficient, comprehensive, and uniform legal structure that guarantees the prompt and adequate compensation of victims and reparation of all damages caused by pollution at the sea. As, this is necessary, among others, that there is greater state presence through oceanic policies. As well as the establishment of a legal framework from agreement and to the establishment of the UNCLOS and other laws. Therefore, the findings of the study will be helpful for concerned associations to encounter the issue of pollution in seawater.
