Abstract

I made a documentary about the role of women in the Animation Industry. Between 1990 and today 6.5% of animation series created in the UK have been written and directed by women. I made my own adult animated series, Crapston Villas, in the nineties for Channel 4, and thought I was the beginning of a revolution. Sadly I was not, so I set out on a journey to talk to women across the animation industry whether writers, producers, directors or art-workers to find out what's happened.
