Abstract

This article explores Heidegger's thought on the nature of myth in relation to his understanding of European nihilism, and confronts Heidegger's interpretation of humanism as a nihilistic phenomenon to Bloch's speculative understanding of the 'Humanum'. A morality of amor fati is contrasted to a morality of docta spes.
