Abstract

The exhibition ‘Paintwork 3; Pop Musik und Kunst’ included two new collaborative works by David Alker and Peter Liddell. These were ‘The Fall Album League 2008’ (2009), a series of 20 paintings representing miniature album covers, and ‘EVIDENTLY CHICKEN TOWN’ (2009) a text work displayed in the window of the gallery.

‘Paintwork 3; Pop Musik und Kunst’ was an international group exhibition reappraising the relationship between contemporary artists, illustrators and music, with particular reference to the band The Fall.

The exhibition was curated by Praxis Hagen Gallery in Berlin and shown initially at SW1 Gallery London (June 2009) then separately as an expanded exhibition at Galerie Peter Borchardt.
