Abstract

COMMON WEALTH was an international group exhibition about ‘the relationship between word and image’ featuring artists working with context and language.
The exhibition was curated by Canadian artist and curator Denise Hawrysio for Michael Klein at MKG127 Gallery Toronto. The other artists in the exhibition included Bob and Roberta Smith, Amanda Beech, Denise Hawrysio and Giorgio Sadotti.

The exhibition COMMON WEALTH included ‘the silver’s been gone for forty years,’ 2009. This is one of a series of works in which the artist repositions elements of dialogue and screenplay from films to create new narrative structures.
