Ian is research active in the Lancashire Law School, where he specialises in human rights, security and counter-terrorism. He has been at uclan for over fifteen years, having previously taught at Coventry University.
He welcomes applications from students wishing to pursue research degrees in any area of his expertise. He is currently a Director of Studies of four PhD students, and a second supervisor for another four PhD students.
