Abstract
On the 2nd March 2017, the South African San community launched the San Code of Research Ethics in Cape Town. It builds on years of work to develop mechanisms to avoid the exploitation of San peoples in Southern Africa by researchers. The code is structured using the values of fairness, honesty, respect and care. This short film by Amy Azra Dean features the launch as well as interviews linked to the four values.
