This set of pieces was developed by the electroacoustic improvisation duo Third City (Dr. Jon Aveyard and Dan Wilkinson). The pieces made use of acoustic instruments and found sound objects placed in audio paths with digital musical instruments such that live samples could be taken and processed. The pieces were developed in rehearsals in the UCLan Media Factory in early 2017. Following early performances, a period of reflection was used to identify notable features which enabled further development of the pieces.

The set engages with:
- the validity of distinguishing between digital musical instruments and acoustic instruments;
- the roles taken by the musicians and heard to be taken by the musicians within the improvisations;
- the visual presentation of electroacoustic improvisation.
