Abstract

MENTAL COMFORT offers for its inauguration its space in window as the foyer of a place inaccessible, with the fuzzy function. The challenge here is to imagine an entrance hall as a final space and not as an airlock, a filter, or even a barrier to the activity of an institution.

The word "lobby" in English refers to two rather different things: a pressure group and an entrance or circulation space. Mental Comfort proposes this polysemy as a pretext for a collective installation. Unlike the headquarters of multinationals competing for architectural effects to assert their position, what could the lobby of this improvised lobby look like? How to welcome while claiming with strength?
