Abstract

An opinon piece for The Architectural Review that describes the lack of support for emerging practice and an under developed architectural culture within Scotland. The article describes how a generation of young practices have been denied access to opportunity to develop their work beyond small scale, temporary, artistic and graphic based work into significant architectural commissions. Without an organisational infrastructure to nurture and support emerging practice than the potential that exists within these practices could be denied and lost.
