Abstract

The project developed again in this phase to incorporate public workshops to share insights and test findings. Within practical research sessions ego and audio space became a focus, this partly through the necessity of a large group playing concurrently.
In considering the intrinsic workings of the band, how it functioned, it was evident that it was demonstrating a type of creativity that exists only when people create together: The group as a positive, constructive society, a creative eco-system, evolving its own identity through organic interaction. The audience invited not only to witness but also to join in with these interactions. The title further suggests the importance of these organic interactions. It references a perceived need for real-world interactions and communal creativity at a time when some feel forced into an isolated virtual world. This consideration of environment was taken further as the group began to consider more widely eco-systems and the government’s declaration of climate emergency.
