Cinema and Reality: an interview with Erik Knudsen

Abstract

In this wide ranging interview with the Turkish academic journal, Etkilsim, Erik Knudsen discusses, amongst a range of topics, cinema's relationship to reality and how contemporary technologies and contexts contribute to a changing relationship between reality and cinema. He also touches on the role of film as a moral agent and how the differing traditions of European cinema and Hollywood cinema impact on the context in which he, as an independent filmmaker, works.
