Abstract

Although the term geography is never used in the text, Pope Francis' encyclical Laudato si ’contains numerous passages in which contemporary geographic science can be recognized. After specifying what is to be understood today by geography, in this contribution we first analyze the different points of contact between it and the encyclical, and then we focus on two of the most authoritative opinions published about Laudato si 'by geographers.
