Abstract

A short 'Thinking Space' feature in the Open Access journal Literary Geographies ISSN 2397-1797 for a special issue on the theme of Literary geographies in isolation. This piece reflects on the experience of mountaineers interned as POWs during WW2 and examines the influence of haptic nostalgia and the experience of isolation on their writing about mountaineering.
