SCIS Conference: Empowering smart solutions for better cities: Urban innovation in practice: success stories

Abstract

With EU support I'd have the opportunity to lead a team of sustainability experts to develop and implement a motivational and trust gaining approach that brought global experts, city decision makers, industrial partners and stakeholders together to co-create a future sustainable city vision. This would be known as the ‘City-zen Roadshow’. An approach, widely published and implemented, and recognized by the European Commission as an example of best practice for its societal impact, replication and uptake.

Over a five year period this sustainability Roadshow would visit nine cities across Europe, building up significant experience along the way in putting together international collaborations that are culturally, politically and economically diverse.

As a result of continued success in applying this co-creative approach, as Roadshow leader I would be invited by the EU Commission, either directly or indirectly, through EU supported seminars, conferences and webinars, to present the process, its outcomes, experiences and future developments.

The following presentation/seminar contributed to the 'SCIS Conference: Empowering smart solutions for better cities: Urban innovation in practice: success stories', a conference organized by the Smart City Information System (SCIS). The SCIS being a EU funded knowledge platform to exchange data, experience and know-how and to collaborate on the creation of smart cities, providing a high quality of life for its citizens in a clean, energy efficient and climate friendly urban environment.

The SCIS conference would take place in Budapest between 02/10/2017 - 03/10/2017.
