Abstract

International students on UK MBA programmes are increasing (Derbyshire, 2019). For Indian students particularly, UK MBAs have seen a 32% growth in programmes that offer practical training or work opportunities (Duttagupta, 2018). However, our international students often find obtaining placements difficult: approximately only 10% of the course secure one. Alternative approaches to enhancing students’ employability are required. One such initiative is a 3-day experiential learning residential for all international MBA students to attend. Through pre and post-residential student data collection, this research aimed to ascertain whether this is an effective initiative to enhance student employability beyond employment.
