Abstract

Climate change and environmental issues cannot be emphasised enough in the twenty-first century. At almost every turn, the international agenda embraces issues of climate change and related natural disasters. For instance, we have experienced a greater number of extreme heatwaves and floods than ever before across the globe. Since the 1990s, the international community has established a consolidated effort to address ever-increasing climate consequences.
