Abstract

The English Learning Disabilities Mortality Review (LeDeR) programme was established in 2015 to improve data collection regarding the deaths of people with a learning disability. Since then, the
programme has been introduced and expanded across England covering all 7 distinct regions and many deaths of people with a learning disability have been notified and reviewed with the findings
presented in the annual reports. The programme's sixth annual report focuses on the completed reviews of deaths of people with a learning disability that occurred in 2021 and uses comparisons with the deaths occurring in 2018, 2019 and 2020.
