Abstract

This video offers a panel discussion hosted by Tony Rigg, featuring music industry luminaries Sumit Bothra (ATC Management), Dr. Ann Harrison (Consultant Solicitor), Peter Hook (co-founder Joy Division and New Order), Silvia Montello (senior music industry executive). This live virtual round table discussion considers the evolving landscape for music law and practice, the tensions between stakeholders, challenges presented to the music industry by streaming, impacts, and prospective developments in legislation and practice.
Part 2 looks at the book 'The Present and Future of Music Law', edited by Ann Harrison and Tony Rigg, published by Bloomsbury Academic New York, featuring insights from the music industry, music lawyers and academics.
