Abstract
Scientists from all over the world will be descending on Preston, when the University of
Central Lancashire plays host to Electrochem, the 91
h Annual Electrochemi<>try
Conference, from Sunday 181 to Wednesday 41
h September 2002.
This prestigious event will bring together electrochemists of all disciplines to discuss a
wide range of academic and industrial aspects of electrochemistry. Two medals will
also be presented at the conference: the Faraday Medal of the Royal Society of
Chemistry and, for the first time at an 'Electrochem' event, the celebrated Volta medal
which is awarded by the Electrochemical Society (ECS), an international body based in
the United States.
In addition to the lectures and poster presentations, the University will be displaying an
exhibition of equipment and instrumentation to complement the event.
