Abstract

Local nurse Jeanette Brankin has been presented with a prestigious award at a recent
ceremony at the University of Central Lancashire.
Jeanette, who completed her nursing diploma at the end of last year, received the
Lancashire Priory Nursing Award for getting top marks on her course. She currently
works at Chorley and South Ribble Hospital on the male acute admissions ward.
The award, a certificate and a cheque for £250, was sponsored by the Lancashire Priory
Hospital, part of the Priory Healthcare Group, the leading provider of private acute
mental healthcare in the UK.
Jeanette, who is married with a nine year old son, has worked as a nursing assistant for
over thirteen years. She now hopes to continue with her studies and take a degree in
mental health nursing.
