Abstract

Be part of the Millie Dowler Fund • Teach Mum and Dad to Text.
Are you a Mum or a Dad with an 11 to 16 year old son or daughter? Would you like to
learn to text your kids so that you can stay in contact with them no matter where they
are?
The Cyberspace Research Unit at the University of Central Lancashire will be running a
short drop in session on Friday 19 September in Chandler Building, off Corporation
Street (next to Harris building) from 12pm-4pm.
If you wish to take part please contact Jo Price at the Cyberspace Research Unit on
(01772 89)3758 or email Jprice@uclan.ac.uk. If you email, please provide a contact
number.
Participants will be reimbursed for their time and will be entered into a draw to win a
free mobile phone.
The Cyberspace Research unit was set up in January 2001 to develop web based
educational materials designed to empower parents, teachers, carers and children with
the tools, knowledge, and skills they need to navigate the Internet safely.
