Abstract

Six weeks into her year's placement from the University of Central Lancashire Liverpool Student Chine Kemjika is experiencing life at the University of Kentucky.

The twenty year old former student of St Hilda's C.E. High School near Sefton Park chose the University to study Marketing and Management so she could fulfil her life long ambition to visit America.

"There was no question about deciding to come to the University of Central Lancashire. I wanted to do an exchange programme and I knew they offered people the chance to study
abroad, so I decided to seize this great opportunity."

Since her arrival Chine feels that self-confidence has improved and would encourage other
students to do the same.

"I have gained a tremendous amount of self-confidence and I have definitely matured a lot.
This is a great experience and I recommend anyone to take part in this great opportunity."
