Abstract

The nineteen year old former pupil of Parrs Wood High School, Wilmslow Road, Manchester, wanted to experience something different and have an adventure. "I didn't want my life to be completely predictable - school, university, job, retire and die. I wanted something that differed from the norm. I chose Central Connecticut State University because it's close to New York and Boston."

Since his arrival Thomas feels that he's developed a greater understanding of American people and their culture whilst making lots offriends from Britain and America. So far he's been to Boston, started working for the University's Athletics Department and has plans to spend Thanksgiving Weekend in Montreal.
