Abstract
The University of Central Lancashire is preparing to launch a Creative Industries Development Unit to work with local businesses and encourage creative graduates to remain in the local area.
Based in Clayton Hall at Harris Knowledge Park, on Garstang Road, the Creative Industries Development Unit will be officially launched on the 7th November. The unit currently comprises of five graduates who were selected for their creativity to work on commercial projects to promote research and development, new product ideas and act as consultants within the creative industries sector in Preston. A wealth of creativity has been retained with the graduates possessing a wide range of design talent including furniture, ceramics, glass, silkscreen printing and graphic design.
