Purpose of the University Archives

This archive contains images from the University archives and the LIS Special Collections. Images of documents and articles: copies of slides, lantern slides, photographs and drawings are available to view and to use in web pages. The archive also contains copies of databases and other statistical materials based on the materials in the Archives. To see examples of how the archived digital materials are used see www.uclan.ac.uk/special_collections

Who can Access the materials?

Bibliographic metadata is available to be searched by anyone, and thumbnail images can be viewed online. Access to high quality image files and to the full text of some materials is restricted. If you find an image you would like a copy of please use the ‘Request a Copy’ button to email us.

Who can deposit materials?

All deposits are made by LIS staff. If you have digital material you would like to become a part of these archives please contact Repository Services at clok@uclan.ac.uk. Materials deposited have included student work inspired by the archive materials, or donated to complement the collections.

What materials will I find?

Not all the collections have been digitised but use the search facility to find out what is available or go to the Special collections web pages www.uclan.ac.uk/special_collections
