Abstract

Student placement is a key component of any healthcare professional's development. Placements provide real-world experience, knowledge, and practical skills. However, there is a perceived cost to healthcare services when taking on students; on the other hand, there may also be additional benefits. This commentary critically appraises a systematic review that examines both perspectives: the potential service benefits and the associated staffing requirements.
