Brandon Reece Taylorian (also known via the mononym Cometan) is Associate Lecturer at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) teaching new religious movements and Associate Lecturer at Lancaster University teaching the history of human rights. Cometan actively conducts research on the role of astronomy in the development of religion and has published work on new religious movements, human rights, Astronism and traditionalist Catholicism. Cometan undertakes doctoral research at UCLan with his thesis specialising in recognition and registration issues and their detriment to religious freedom.
