Ian David Turner

Ian is research active in the School of Law and Policing, where he specialises in human rights, security, counter-terrorism and legal and political theory. Ian has been at uclan for over twenty years, having previously taught at Coventry University. Ian is the Lead for Postgraduate Research (PGR) in the School of Law and Policing, as well as being uclan's REF Lead for Unit of Assessment 18 (Law). Ian welcomes applications from students wishing to pursue PGR degrees in any area of his expertise. He is currently a Director of Studies of four PhD students, and a second supervisor for another four PhD students.
