My post of Reader at University of Central Lancashire involves the undertaking of teaching, research and managerial duties. I teach sports biomechanics at postgraduate and undergraduate levels, supervise research students and am research degrees tutor for CASES. I lead Equine Science research for UCLan, which involves both research and consultancy work including scientific testing of the equestrian venue surfaces for London 2012. I collaborate with veterinarians, engineers and biologists worldwide and I am responsible for development of new local and international equine research collaborations.
