Ioan Mihangel Charnley-Parry is a Research Associate at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) in Preston, UK. This follows the completion of a PhD at UCLan which was part funded by NNL as a PhD CASE Award. His research focussed on Anglesey in North Wales, and sought to understand the priorities of different social groups to identify areas of potential impact in regards the development of the proposed Wylfa Newydd Nuclear Power Station on the island. The research also highlighted how public engagement and decision-making associated with a new nuclear development could be informed by group-based dialogue.
