Having previously held successful academic positions at both Lancaster and Liverpool University for over a decade, Marta Bell’s current research interests are within socially responsible practices within the supply chain, with a specific focus on emerging economies, and global supply chain management, including internationalisation processes and offshoring or reshoring decision-making.
Industrial engagement and business partnerships are central to Marta’s research and teaching. She has worked collaboratively with blue chip companies in both the UK and in Italy, as well as emerging country businesses within the high fashion industry. The author of a number of published articles in journals and books, her journal publications have been published in the International Journal of Operations and Production Management, Supply Chain Management: An International Journal and the International Journal of Production Economics, amongst other influential publications.
