Abstract

This research is based on solar energy development in India. As demands of energy are increasing day by day, it’s very important that government should start looking for some alternate ways to fulfil the requirements in the future. India’s geographical conditions are in favour of solar energy because India received around 250-300 days of clear sunlight in a year. The purpose of this study is to find out the barriers that are impacting the development of solar energy in India.
The methodology on which this research was based on is qualitative approach and open-ended questionnaire were used to fulfil the aim and objectives. The researcher has asked 18 questions in the survey and the survey was sent to 60 people, from which researcher gets the reply of 44 respondents. The questionnaire has been sent in four different categories to know the barriers that are impacting in each sector.
Through the research, many factors come out that can be considered as barriers and policies are the most important area which play a vital role in development, so government should more focus on policies. Another important factor that plays a vital role in development changes in policies by new government and it leave a bad effect on a sector of solar energy. One more thing on which government should focus is a promotion of new and advanced policies via print media or social media so that people will know the improvement in solar energy.
