Abstract
‘Sensorium’ is an on-going body of research investigating our relationship to landscape when experienced on foot.
Specifically, examining whether developments in digital technology and mapping alters perceptions and willingness to experience a place through discovery or if it encourages an experience of landscape based on the bias of the road and predetermined path.
The visual imagery used in ‘Sensorium’ is informed by captured digital data offering an analysis of the physical. Through a practice of drawing and print the visual artwork allows the reintroduction of the aesthetic, drawing on memories of place and experiences of touch.
