Abstract
China coastal drainage problems always the significant urbanization issue and closely related to public life. Every year the lots of coastal cities have happened urban water logging, potentially effect on the citizen property, economy and personal security under threat. For this reason, the purpose of the research is pay attention to finding the factors which directly affect the drainage, and seek solutions to improve drainage management system.
To achieve the aim of the research, based on the literature review and concept, a questionnaire was adopted to investigate the problems which would affect drainage management system, the questionnaire included 11 questions. The questionnaire based on Shanghai, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Shenzhen. After collet the information from the questionnaire, the case study of Tokyo and Shanghai were used to ‘in-depth’ analyze drainage system based on the objectives. The Tokyo case study was as experience for Shanghai, and SWOT analysis was adopted to analyze the situation and also give the recommendation for urban drainage management and planning.
According to the summarized, conclusion and discussion of the result of each chapter based on the literature review and investigation, finding that China coastal cities drainage system existing unreasonable planning and management situation. China coastal cities now still through increase drainage pipeline, drainage pump station, impounding reservoir and separate discharge rainwater and sewage. These cannot meet the needs of drainage demanded under rapid urbanization. Right now, through use for the reference of Tokyo experience and previous studies, propose a recommendation that main control chain divided into four steps: The first step is ‘prevent’; the second step is ‘source control’; the third step is ‘site control’; the fourth step is ‘regional control’. In other word, utilize low effect development assist with drainage facilities which constitute by cement pipeline and so on. This management system through control and guidance from source. Ensure the hydrology after development was similar with before.
