Abstract

This exhibition showcased paper works exploring cultural histories and connection to place through walking. Walking journeys along The Mersey in the UK were the focus of works with a specific attention to protected wetlands and SSSI sites. Common Ground bought together the printed works by three UK artists, Hill, Hicklin and Fuller who explore the traditions of landscape art and ideas of the fixed view. Conversations and new art works along with practical demonstrations connected multiple venues in both the UK and Australia as well as being documented on-line engaging with a global community.
