Abstract

Sustainable Homes: Perception Positives and Pitfalls dissertation questions why people choose
where they live and whether sustainability of a home would influence this choice and further
more how reduction in Carbon Dioxide emissions will be achieved from the UK domestic
housing stock. There appears to be a genuine willingness by the public to live more energy
efficient and what drives this is fiscal. However why is a development with everything a person
supposedly wants from a home and a place to live met, with such anxiety. The investigation is
public perception of housing becoming sustainable.
