Abstract
Purpose: Long-term wearing of an ill-fitting bra can result in numerous negative health implications, including NSBP, although conservative management strategies in clinical guidelines suggest that the implementation of a correctly fitting bra could provide significant symptomatic relief. However, it has been recognised that achieving the correct bra fit amongst larger breasted women is almost impossible with current bra solutions, sizing and fitting approaches. This study aimed to investigate the immediate and short-term biomechanical, psychosocial and pain (symptomatic subjects only) responses to change in breast support garment amongst larger breasted women with (symptomatic) and without (asymptomatic) NSBP.
