Abstract

‘Other echoes inhabit the garden, shall we follow? – TS Eliot

Finding Centre was a unique event exploring Henley through an artist led walk and dowsing experience.
The event centred around AirSpace gallery, which will acted as a meeting point, point of departure and final destination.

It was an evolving experience; exploring how walking reconnects us to seeing with touch and sensory tools to expand and change our experience of the urban spaces we live and how we feel when walking in them.

Artist, Tracy Hill and Water Dowser Deborah Bell led an exploratory wander through the streets and local parkland to explore and detect the unseen and often forgotten energies of Stoke's everyday urban landscape.

Drawing on invisible magnetic fields, traditional dowsing skills and augmented reality technology collectively explored and revealed the energy surrounding the group. Exploring the walking body as a receptor to discover unseen traces.
